Special Convention:
March 2, 2025 at 2:00 PM
Sunday March 2 at 2:00, the delegates and clergy of The Episcopal Church in Wyoming gathered on Zoom to confirm the nomination of The Rt. Rev. Todd Ousley as Bishop Provisional. The nomination was put forth by the Standing Committee and announced on January 1, 2025.
With 71% of the vote, Bishop Ousley was affirmed and will begin serving immediately. He plans to arrive in Wyoming in early April.
We look forward to welcoming him to Wyoming!

As we prepare for the Special Convention on March 2, 2025, this video provides important instructions for delegates, clergy, and guests on how to participate in the meeting and voting process via Zoom.
Instructions

Delegates: When signing into Zoom, please use your full name + congregation name

(e.g., John Smith, St. Matthew’s Laramie).

Clergy: No certification or registration is required, but you must log in using your full name.

All participants will be muted upon entry. Use the Zoom chat to request to speak and indicate if you are speaking for or against the resolution.
Voting Process

Only those eligible to vote will remain in the main Zoom session.

Non-voters will be moved into a separate breakout room to ensure vote integrity.

After voting is completed, everyone will reconvene before the results are announced.
Discussion

A total of 30 minutes will be allowed for the discussion.

An individual will have two minutes to voice their support or objection to the resolution.

A timer will be displayed on the screen, and once the time is up, speakers will be muted.

What is a bishop provisional?
A bishop provisional is an experienced leader appointed to oversee a diocese during a transition period. They exercise all the duties and offices of a Bishop, providing guidance, pastoral care, and stability while the diocese searches for and calls a new Bishop Diocesan.
